A Clearer Look Inside the Uterus
A hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive gynecologic procedure that allows us to view the inside of the uterus using a thin, lighted instrument called a hysteroscope. A diagnostic hysteroscopy is used to investigate symptoms, while operative hysteroscopy can correct structural problems during the same procedure. This procedure is used to evaluate and treat conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, endometrial polyps, excise a thin uterine septum, and remove retained tissue after miscarriage or childbirth.
